Please note that delivery charges, service staff time, gratuities, rental equipment, event coordinating charges, and applicable taxes are not included in our quoted menu prices.
We have a wonderful group of knowledgeable and experienced service staff. Our service staff members are attired in black dress pants, long black bistro apron, black / with white pin stripe dress shirt and a beautiful formal tie in our colours of black / silver and a hint of burnt orange. All service staff members have both Serving It Right and Food Safe Certification. All supervisors have Serving It Right - Licensee Certification.
Catering Supervisor - $35 per hour
Secondary Bartender / Service Staff - $25 per hour
Bar Supervisor - $35 per hour
Chef - $35 per hour
On-Site Catering Coordinator - $85 per hour
All service staff members are paid for a minimum of 4 hours. Service staff members are paid from the time they arrive at The New Manhattan Catering and Deli until they return to The New Manhattan and have unloaded all items used for your event. You can add approximately 2 hours before your event begins for loading, unloading, and set-up. You should then expect an additional 1 to 2 hours after your event to clean up and return to our facility. Usually a 4-hour event will require 7 to 8 hours of service time per server. Overtime hours will be billed at 1.5 times the regular rate.
Further, for functions that do not include service staff, a $15 per half hour delivery and set-up charge will be applied to your invoice.
A 15% gratuity will be applied to the food & beverage portion of the invoice when service staff is provided. In cases where the client chooses to provide the alcohol for an event, a bar gratuity will be added to your invoice for bar service.
Our special event professionals will be delighted to provide assistance with all aspects of your function. We can assist with site selection, decor and menu planning, wine choices, flower arrangements, entertainment, lighting and other services to complement your special occasion. Please note: there will be a charge for all event coordinating services other than menu selection; this includes site review.
We will gladly take care of ordering and organizing your rental and liquor requirements. Our fee is 30% of the total cost. Please note that it is the responsibility of the client (the host of the event) to obtain the liquor license (Special Event Permit).
All rental items should be packed into their appropriate containers and stored together. The rental company will arrive the following day to collect these items. You will be charged for any broken, damaged, or missing items.
